What is hunger?

Is hunger your body’s signal for lack of food in your stomach or is it a signal on a caloric or macro need? Am I hungry because I need something in my stomach or because my body is waiting on its next allowance of calories?

Lean bulk water weight

Hello, so I've started a lean bulk, uping my calories 10% from a 1900 maintenance putting my surplus to 2190. My goal is .5lbs a week. I've been in my surplus for almost 2 weeks now and I've noticed a serious jump in weight. I've gained about 4lbs so far. I was in my maintenance for about 3 weeks before increasing my calories to a surplus, so I'm sure I'm not in a higher surplus than I need to be. Is this all water weight and will in drop off so I can properly watch my scale weight and progress photos? Thank you

My fitness pal and deficits

I just started using my fitness pal, I set my profile to “active” considering that I strength train 4x an week and have a job that mostly requires me to be on my feet. I am in a deficit, but I’m wondering what your thoughts are on how your calorie goal changes when you exercise? I feel like my deficit is what it is because of my workouts so I’m just confused why I am (for lack of a better word) “allowed” to have more calories after a work out? For example, if I go on a run and burn “x” amount of calories, my deficit lessens and I can have “x” more calories that day. I’m just wondering if I will still be in the same amount of a deficit if I allow myself those extra calories, or if that makes it less effective?

deficit as a short peson.

I've tried every calorie calculator there is, and all claim to eat under 1200 calories, which I know is extremely low, but because of my current height and weight, it seems like I have no choice. I am 5'0 feet and 105 lbs. how should I approach this?
