I am progressively overloading as you suggested. However, how do I know if I'm going heavy enough? I can do 20+ reps with 75lb dumbbells on chest press for example, but going heavier seems to always cause injuries for me, so where should I go next? Even that weight is not "hard" at that many reps, like I could keep going. I want to understand where to go next.
Is there enough meat on the bones to have some sort of long form personal trainer podcast? What to expect, what to look for, what to avoid, like a ‘so you want to work with a personal trainer’ soup to nuts episode. I’d like to find one but I don’t know where to start and what to expect (especially since I only have a membership at planet fitness)
