Dissecting heath & fitness companies

What are the steps & criteria you look for and go through to determine if you want to work with a health & fitness company? How long did it take you to do research on companies you've partnered with? Do you trust the research these health & fitness companies do on their own? (i.e. legion, etc)

A snacker at heart

I’m a snacker at heart and frequently have to wake up to take my dogs outside at night. After letting them out I’m known to have a little snacky and more often than not, it’s a little sweet treat. After learning that could be the reason my sleep quality is tanking it’s left me wondering if switching to 0 sugar alternatives will provide better results or if I need to cut the snacking out cold turkey

Under-eating

How do you deal with someone that struggles with under-eating naturally? I have recently had someone who trains with me that substantially under-eats (unconsciously, less than 1200 cals), and struggles to eat enough calories to maintain/build. They feel like eating more than that is too much, or like they have to force themselves to eat (which is not fun). Any suggestions?

Hiring a personal trainer

I’m thinking about hiring a personal trainer, and it will be my first. I’m hoping they can help me review my goals, my plans (fitness + food), health & fitness performance data, give me feedback, and overall nerd out on health & fitness knowledge with me. What are some great interview questions you might ask this person? What are some red flags? I recently joined a gym (city sports in Northern Cali) and they have a personal training program. The gym is affordable & decent enough, but I’m worried they’re more about the sales than outcomes. Should I expect a gym like this to have someone on staff that can deliver this level of quality & personalization?

Keeping smart watches clean

Hey guys, the pod has helped me so much with my fitness this year (1 stone down in 3 months!) 😊 I'm repping the UK 🇬🇧✌️ I wear a smart watch pretty much all the time, including to record my workouts (3-4x strength training and 1x run a week). I sweat a lot, even during my resistance training, so I always wipe my wrist and the underside and strap of the watch with a scented anti-bac wipe, but it still feels like I could clean it better. Any other tips?
